Mature, sexy Anne Curtis film set in Boracay

Director Joey Reyes promises Filipino viewers "a very mature Anne Curtis, Anne Curtis like you’ve never seen her before" in the film "When the Love Begins" where she stars with Aga Muhlach.

Reyes added that the setting of the film, world-renowned and picturesque Boracay island is a main attraction in the film as well.

Curtis, who began her career as a child actress, usually takes on film roles in romantic comedies, playing more "wholesome" characters. In the new film, however, she plays a more seductive character, one more fitting to a romantic, summer beach destination.

Reyes said the project is very special to him since it was shot in Boracay Island, which is his favorite locale.

“You see I consider Boracay the most beautiful place on earth. Working there is so inspiring. The island has always my sanctuary and for the first time I allowed work to invade my sanctuary. At first it was really awkward but it was really worth it.

"[The film] shows Boracay as I understand it. The real Boracay, not just as a tourist spot but the place of romance and self discovery,” Reyes told abs-cbnNews.com at the press conference for the film.

"When the Love Begins" is about Ben Caballero (Muhlach) and Michelle Valmonte (Anne Curtis), two very different individuals who come to terms with issues of commitment and conflict.

“Anne here is a rich girl, who is jumping from one relationship to another. She is a type of person who is afraid of commitment while Aga here is a lawyer who quits his profession and [becomes] an environmentalist. They met in Boracay and from there -- love begins,” said Reyes.
