South Korean TV and radio network SBS (Seoul Broadcasting System) is very excited about the preparations being done for a Philippine version of its hit TV series "My Girl".
"My Girl" is ABS-CBN's first franchise drama from SBS Korea. The popular TV series is a story of love and friendship, and its Philippine version will star former PBB Teen Edition Big Winner and teen idol Kim Chiu.
The first taping week of the Pinoy version of "My Girl" has already been broadcasted in Korea and earned high praise and acclaim.
Fans are also excited about the on-going recording of the original soundtrack of "My Girl," under ASAP Music.
As part of her preparations for the role, Chiu had to practice speaking in Mandarin. She said that she was a bit challenged with the language but with the help of her language coach, she was able to adjust.
The production team is also busy with taping in different locations like in Tagaytay, Batanggas and Marikina.
Instead of the strawberry fields in the original South Korean series, viewers are now wondering what plantation will be used as the setting for the Pinoy "My Girl". Will it be an elegant vineyard or a corn plantation?
Pinoy "My Girl" also stars Gerald Anderson, Enchong Dee, Alex Gonzaga, David Chua, Regine Angeles and Nina Jose.
