The manager of actress Angel Locsin has defended her ward's decision to pose topless on a billboard for clothing company Folded & Hung.
In an interview with abs-cbnNEWS.com, Becky Aguila said there is nothing wrong with Locsin's billboard.
"Wala namang nakita aside from her back and it's fashion. In fashion you have to show something different," Aguila said.
"We are setting a different trend in fashion but it doesn't mean na ang trend ay maghuhubad or anything, it's just part of the campaign," the manager added.
Aguila's statement stemmed from posts and feedbacks on the Internet mocking Locsin's sexy pose.
Aguila said the billboard is really classy, and is a way to show everyone a new Locsin.
"Sexy but there's a limitation...trabaho lang ito, it's just part of her transformation and I hope a lot of people will see that and will appreciate that Angel should also grow," said Aguila.
Locsin is the third celebrity endorser of the clothing line after actresses Claudine Barretto and Maja Salvador.
The billboard of Locsin will now be seen in EDSA near Guadalupe.
Angel’s slipped disc
Locsin is set to fly to Bangkok after her last taping day for the television series "Lobo" on July 3rd to shoot a commercial for a brand of shampoo.
From Bangkok she will be back in Manila and will continue therapy for her mild slipped disc.
Aguila said right now everything is fine as far as Locsin's health is concerned.
"May therapy and now bumubuti na ang therapy so hopefully ay gumaling na siya soon. Kasi ang cure lang doon at 'yung therapy."
After her therapy Locsin will be busy again attending to all her commercial commitments.
She will prepare for her upcoming movie with onscreen partner actor Piolo Pascual that will be shot in Bukidnon and in Australia.
